About Metallyse

Metallyse was founded by Mr. Michael de Waart who came up with the idea of the rotating cathode and scraping device. This idea, together with the thickening of the liquor with membranes, was patented under Patent WO1998058090A3. Cooperation with the Technical University in Delft resulted in a pilot unit that was succesfully used in several applications.

Michael died on 20 november 2009 at the age of 67 and the company was continued by his wife Betty de Graaf. After her retirement she decided to stop the company and hand over the technology to Peter Klut, a chemical engineer by profession and an associate during the time Michael was leading Metallyse.

Currently the company has no statutary status.

In case new projects come up, the company can either by listed as BV or the project can be executed within Danieli Corus BV in the Netherlands. Peter Klut is employed by Danieli Corus as Manager Process Engineering / Product Manager Gas Cleaning.
